2026 Golden Globe Nominations -- See Full List and Snubs!

Nominees Announced for the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards

The much-anticipated nominations for the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced, highlighting notable achievements in film and television. The announcements were made by Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall from Matlock.

Leading Nominations

One Battle After Another led the film category with nine nominations, while HBO’s The White Lotus topped the television category with six nominations. Sentimental Value followed closely with eight nominations, and Sinners received seven. Netflix’s Adolescence also performed well, securing five nominations.

Notable Omissions

Among the surprises, Wicked: For Good was notably absent from the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category, despite its stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo receiving nominations. Director Jon M. Chu was also not nominated.

Jay Kelly was overlooked in the Best Motion Picture – Drama category, although its stars George Clooney and Adam Sandler were recognized. Additionally, Superman, A Minecraft Movie, and Lilo & Stitch were not nominated for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

Avatar: Fire and Ash received a nomination for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement even before its theatrical release but missed out on a Best Motion Picture – Drama nomination and a Best Director nod for James Cameron.

Further Snubs

The third Knives Out installment, Wake Up Dead Man, did not receive any nominations, unlike its predecessors. Other overlooked films include Marty Supreme, Roofman with Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, and Is This Thing On? directed by Bradley Cooper.

Jennifer Lopez’s Kiss of the Spider Woman and Sydney Sweeney’s Christy were also absent from the nominations, as was Kathryn Bigelow’s House of Dynamite and the cast of Sinners.

Television Snubs

On the television front, the second season of The Last of Us only garnered an acting nomination for Bella Ramsey. HBO’s The Gilded Age and The Pitt stars Katherine LaNasa and Shawn Hatosy were also not nominated.

Stranger Things failed to receive any nominations for its final season. Despite submitting its first four episodes, the show has never won a Globe.

Podcast Category

This year introduced a new category for podcasts. Notably, Joe Rogan, Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Ben Shapiro were not nominated, despite being eligible. Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast was also not on the shortlist.

The winners will be announced on January 11, with Nikki Glaser hosting the ceremony on CBS.
