We’ve seen the men of the 2025 American Cinematheque Awards—now here’s a look at the ladies.
Sunshine Leather
You won’t be surprised to see Tessa Thompson attending this year’s ceremony in support of honouree Michael B. Jordan. Their friendship, carved through three Creed films and an unforgettable press tour.

Tessa arrived in a yellow Proenza Schouler Spring 2026 leather dress that almost felt like a colour-coded nod to the step-and-repeat. Leather can be unforgiving, especially when a sculptural detail enters the chat, but this fit is just good. The cascading detail could have gone wrong — a hemline too long and the look would have been unbalanced — but that is not the case here.

A Tabayer Oera choker and gold Giuseppe Zanotti Intriigo mules completed the look, closing out a wonderfully bright fashion week for the actress.

Midnight Elegance
Jayme Lawson was the yin to Tessa’s yang in a black dress from the Diotima Spring 2026 collection. The Sinners actress is quietly assembling an excellent red carpet run, and this marks her third hit in a row this week. The sculpted neckline and rich textured trim were two simple details that brought a refined sense of drama. Her strappy sandals furthered the elegant understatement.

What excites me most is that Jayme is still early in her red carpet journey. These steady, confident appearances suggest she’s only getting started, and I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing how she shapes her style identity as awards season builds.
