A horrifying crash involving a bus, lorry and car in Gormanston, Co Meath has tragically resulted in at least two fatalities.
The three-vehicle collision occurred on the R132 near The Huntsman Inn earlier this morning, reports the Irish Mirror.
FULL GARDA STATEMENT:
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal three-vehicle road traffic collision on the R132 at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, this morning, Monday 24th November 2025.
The collision, involving a lorry, a bus and a car, happened at approximately 6.30am.
The male driver of the lorry (in his 40’s) and the male driver of the bus (in his 50’s) were pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver of the car (in her 40’s) was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The female passenger of the car (a teenager) was initially taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Several other people have also been transported to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
The R132 is currently closed pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch.
Motorists who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R132, at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, between 5.45am and 6.45am this morning, Monday 24th November 2025, are being urged to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
