Megan Thee Stallion Jury Still Deliberating, Trial Continues Next

Megan Thee Stallion will have to wait until next week to receive the verdict in her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz.

On Wednesday, November 26, the jury convened at the federal courthouse in Miami and began their deliberations following instructions from the presiding judge. What many anticipated might be a quick resolution regarding Gramz’s potential liability for defamation, promotion of a manipulated sexual depiction, and intentional infliction of emotional distress extended into a full day of discussions.

Legal affairs reporter Meghann Cuniff reported that the jury posed several questions during their deliberations. Their first inquiry concerned the identification of specific exhibits. The second question pertained to the “deep fake” video statute in Florida, particularly in relation to Gramz sharing an AI-generated video that depicted Megan in a sexual scenario. Additionally, they sought clarification on Megan’s whereabouts when she first viewed the video.

After six hours of discussions, the jury remained deadlocked. With one juror needing to leave by 4 p.m., they were dismissed for the day and are scheduled to reconvene on Monday, December 1, to continue their deliberations.

Megan initiated the lawsuit against Gramz in October 2024, alleging that the blogger conspired with Tory Lanez and his father, Sonstar Peterson, to harass her online and undermine her claims regarding being shot by Tory in 2020. Megan asserts that Gramz circulated false rumors and shared a fabricated video showing her in a sexual act.

During the trial, Megan recounted the emotional distress she experienced due to Gramz’s falsehoods and misleading social media posts. It was disclosed that she sought treatment following the incident.

In her testimony, Gramz discussed her background and her entry into blogging. She explained that her interest in the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion case was driven by her audience’s fascination with it. Gramz acknowledged receiving $3,000 from Tory Lanez’s father but claimed the funds were intended for promotions related to other projects and for her children’s birthday and winter clothing. She also testified that she believed the AI video of Megan was authentic.
