Kim Kardashian Discusses Challenges of Co-Parenting with Kanye West
Kim Kardashian, a mother of four, has opened up about the difficulties she faces in co-parenting her children with ex-husband Kanye West. During a recent episode of “The Kardashians,” she expressed feelings of frustration and the strain of their co-parenting relationship.
At 45 years old, Kardashian shared her candid thoughts while riding in a car with Scott Disick, her former brother-in-law. Disick, who has three children with Kardashian’s sister, Kourtney Kardashian, acknowledged the stress she is under, saying, “I’m sorry about all that you’re going through. It looks stressful.”
Disick noted the online discussions surrounding Kardashian and West, prompting her to agree that the situation is indeed “hard.” She expressed her frustration about West questioning her parenting abilities, stating, “Sometimes I just feel like snapping, but I can’t. I just can’t.”
Kardashian also revealed that West, 48, has not made any effort to maintain a relationship with their children, saying he has “never once called” despite her attempts to foster a healthy connection between him and their kids.
In a subsequent confessional, a producer commented on West’s public behavior, to which Kardashian responded, “I just can’t really engage. I think it’s just for the better.” She emphasized that her main priority is to be a strong presence for her children: North, 12; Saint, 9; Chicago, 7; and Psalm, 6.
Kardashian made similar remarks during an appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast last month. When asked about the last time West saw their children, she replied, “Hmm. Whenever he’ll call them and ask. It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him?”
Despite the challenges of managing her relationship with West, who has exhibited increasingly erratic behavior, Kardashian asserted that she has never kept their children from him. She explained her reluctance to publicly counteract the narrative suggesting she denies West parenting time, stating, “I’m just not that girl online that’s gonna fight back.”
However, she admitted that the situation is difficult, saying it “really sucks.”
