Andy Ruiz is among the few boxers to have defeated Anthony Joshua in the ring, and he recently offered valuable advice to Jake Paul as he prepares for his upcoming fight on December 19.
Ruiz (35-2, 22 KOs) delivered Joshua his first professional defeat in 2019, winning by TKO in the seventh round during their highly publicized match at Madison Square Garden in New York City, marking one of the sport’s most significant upsets.

During a recent turkey distribution event at the New Village Girls Academy in Los Angeles, Ruiz was asked if he could share any insights for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
“Just land the right hand,” Ruiz advised. “Jake Paul is looking for that right hand, and if he connects, he can inflict significant damage.”
Additionally, Ruiz encouraged Paul to approach the fight “fearlessly” and not to be intimidated by Joshua’s size.

“Many people underestimate Jake Paul, but he is a skilled fighter and shows great dedication, which I admire,” Ruiz stated.
While participating in the turkey drive, an event he values due to the impact of the SNAP/EBT crisis on communities, Ruiz mentioned a boxer he would like to face in the ring.
