A tragic mass shooting occurred in California, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to ten others during a child’s birthday party.
The incident unfolded on Saturday night at a banquet hall in Stockton, where the family gathering was taking place, as reported by local authorities.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting report around 6 PM.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered four individuals deceased from gunfire and ten others suffering from bullet wounds. Those injured were promptly transported to local hospitals, with their conditions currently unconfirmed.
Heather Bren, a representative from the Sheriff’s Office, indicated that the shooting appears to have been targeted, as investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Vice Mayor of Stockton, Jason Lee, expressed his sorrow on Facebook, stating that a child’s birthday celebration should never instill fear in families.
Lee, a Stockton native, conveyed his devastation over the incident and emphasized the need for accountability from public safety officials.
The assailant remains at large.
