The nominations for the 2026 Critics Choice Awards have been announced, marking the beginning of the awards season with a diverse range of film and television nominees. Ryan Coogler’s film “Sinners” leads with 17 nominations, nearly setting a record. Other notable films include Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” Netflix’s “Frankenstein,” and the historical drama “Hamnet,” each receiving multiple nominations. In television, “Adolescence” leads with six nominations, with series such as “Abbott Elementary,” “The Diplomat,” and “Severance” also receiving recognition. The 31st annual Critics Choice Awards will be hosted by Chelsea Handler and broadcast live on January 4, 2026, from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar.
