Slash Joins Myles Kennedy on Stage in Anaheim

On Sunday, December 7, Slash, the guitarist from Guns N’ Roses, made a surprise appearance with Myles Kennedy at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. They performed “Behind The Veil,” a track from Kennedy’s third solo album, “The Art Of Letting Go,” released in October 2024 through Napalm Records.

Myles Kennedy is currently touring North America, supporting Mammoth, the band led by Wolfgang Van Halen, former bassist of Van Halen.

New Album Progress

In an interview on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,” Slash discussed the progress of the upcoming album by Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. He stated that the recording is complete, with mixing scheduled for January. The album is set to be released in 2027, followed by a comprehensive tour.

Recording Sessions and Insights

Slash expressed excitement about the new album, describing it as “badass.” In August 2025, he revealed on social media that the recording sessions were complete, hinting that it might be their best work yet.

Brent Fitz, the drummer for Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, praised Slash’s work ethic in an interview with Different Stages Radio. He described the intense recording sessions in Los Angeles and Florida, noting the creative process involved in developing the album’s tracks.

While no official title has been announced for the new album, Fitz mentioned the use of humorous working titles during the songwriting process. Myles Kennedy confirmed that his contributions primarily focus on lyrics and melodies, with the recording phase well underway.

Tour Highlights

In January 2024, the band kicked off “The River Is Rising – Rest Of The World Tour ’24” in Mexico City, featuring a 24-song setlist that included a rare Guns N’ Roses track, “Don’t Damn Me,” with Todd Kerns on lead vocals. Mammoth WVH supported the band on various tour dates.

Previous Releases

The band’s latest album, “4,” was released in February 2022 under Gibson Records and BMG. It was Slash’s fifth solo album and fourth with the current lineup, which includes Kennedy, Fitz, Kerns, and guitarist Frank Sidoris.

Live Performances

For Record Store Day 2022, the band released “Live At Studios 60,” a double live LP featuring performances from “4” and additional tracks. This limited edition was recorded live in Los Angeles.

Slash’s Recent Projects

In May 2024, Slash released a blues album titled “Orgy Of The Damned” through Gibson Records. He also launched the “S.E.R.P.E.N.T.” festival across the U.S. during the summer, performing with his blues band.
