Sunjay Kapur passed away during a polo match in London on June 12, 2025. His funeral took place on June 19 at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in South Delhi, attended by close family and friends. He served as the chairman of Sona Comstar and was previously married to actress Karisma Kapoor, with whom he had two children, Samaira and Kiaan.
Following their divorce in 2016, Sunjay married Priya Kapur, and they had a son named Azarias. Priya’s daughter, Safira, is from her previous marriage to hotelier Vikram Chatwal. Currently, legal proceedings are ongoing regarding Sunjay Kapur’s multibillion-dollar estate, involving his children from both marriages.
