Nick Reiner, son of Rob and Michele Reiner, was spotted heading to a Santa Monica hotel just hours following the murder of his parents.

Surveillance Footage Details

New surveillance footage captured Nick walking toward the Pierside Santa Monica hotel early Sunday morning at approximately 4:10 a.m. The 32-year-old moved slowly, as seen in the video obtained by TMZ. He checked into the hotel five minutes later using his credit card.

Witnesses noted Nick appeared agitated but showed no signs of physical altercation. His hotel stay was initially booked for one day, but he did not formally check out. Housekeeping found the shower and bed covered in blood, with the window obscured by bedsheets.

Arrest and Charges

Later that night, Nick was observed at a gas station near Exposition Park in Downtown LA. Surveillance footage showed him purchasing a drink before being arrested at 9:15 p.m. at the corner of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. He was initially held at DTLA’s Parker Center Jail before being transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility without bail.

Earlier footage showed Nick passing a gas station in Brentwood, moving away from his parents’ home around 12:15 a.m. On Tuesday, he faced charges of two counts of first-degree murder with the special circumstance of multiple murders, carrying a potential life sentence without parole or the death penalty.

Court Appearance

Nick appeared in court on Wednesday, maintaining a stoic demeanor, shackled and wearing an anti-suicide smock. He spoke briefly, waiving his right to a speedy arraignment. His attorney, Alan Jackson, announced that Nick would be arraigned on January 7, urging the public to avoid hasty judgments.

Nick’s siblings, Jake and Romy Reiner, released a statement expressing their grief over their parents’ loss, without mentioning Nick.
