Andrew Terraciano, known for his role as Sean Reagan on “Blue Bloods,” has shared his thoughts on the character’s recasting for the spinoff “Boston Blue.” Terraciano, 22, spoke to Us Weekly about his experience on the CBS series, expressing gratitude and excitement for the new portrayal by Mika Amonsen. He emphasized the joy of having played Sean and the opportunity for others to continue the character’s journey.

A Decade on Screen

Terraciano debuted as Donnie Wahlberg’s onscreen son in 2010, appearing in nearly 300 episodes until 2024. With the transition to “Boston Blue,” the role of Sean Reagan was recast, a decision Terraciano learned about during his graduation. He received a supportive call from Wahlberg, marking a poignant moment between friends and colleagues.

Fond Memories and Future Plans

Reflecting on his time with the “Blue Bloods” cast, including Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, and others, Terraciano shared the emotional impact of the show’s conclusion. Despite not having watched “Boston Blue” yet due to academic commitments, he intends to honor the series with due attention. Terraciano remains open to future collaborations, ready to return if called upon.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree, Terraciano is exploring new opportunities in acting. He recently participated in a theater production and helped produce a short film, expressing a desire to continue acting and potentially explore roles in different genres, including a dream to work in the “Star Wars” universe.
