Meezaan Jafri Discusses First On-Screen Collaboration with Father Jaaved Jaaferi
When asked about the experience of working alongside his father for the first time, Meezaan Jafri remarked, “It was lovely, it was emotional… it was a big deal for my family. I just wish my grandfather was there to see it. My father is fortunate as he has shared screen space with both my grandfather and me. For him, it’s a wonderful experience to have acted alongside his father and his son.”
Meezaan Reflects on Jaaved’s Support During De De Pyaar De 2
Discussing his father’s attentiveness on set, Meezaan stated, “More than anything, it was seeing his reaction while I was performing. That was an overwhelming experience. Maddy sir later told me that while I was on the horse for the riding scene, he was just observing my father.”
He continued, “My father was so engaged; even though I was managing the horse, he was instinctively reacting to my every movement. His fatherly instincts were clearly at play—‘Is he riding properly? Is he balanced? Are his hair and appearance alright?’ These thoughts were running through his mind as he looked after me. It was a deeply emotional moment for both of us… perhaps even more so for him.”
