Todd Tucker Seeks Custody Amid Divorce from Kandi Burruss
Custody Battle
Todd Tucker, estranged husband of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss, is pursuing primary custody of their two children. On November 26, Tucker responded to Burruss’ divorce filing, asserting that their children, Ace (born 2016) and Blaze (born 2019), currently reside with him in Georgia while Burruss attends to work commitments elsewhere.
Legal Proceedings
Tucker, 52, emphasized that Burruss’ professional obligations will keep her away from their children for several months, reinforcing his request for primary custody. He stated both parties are working together to resolve issues amicably and expressed his willingness to continue discussions in good faith.
Custody Proposal
Tucker proposed that Burruss have “substantial time and meaningful access” to the children. He acknowledged her as a loving parent and remains hopeful for a resolution. However, if an agreement isn’t reached, Tucker plans to seek primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority.
Prenuptial Agreement Concerns
Tucker revealed he signed a prenuptial agreement before their April 4, 2014, wedding but claims he was pressured into it without legal counsel. His lawyers argue the agreement was presented under circumstances that question its enforceability. Nevertheless, Tucker is committed to resolving the matter privately and amicably.

Divorce Details
Burruss filed for divorce on November 21, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage with no hope for reconciliation. She proposed joint custody and requested the prenuptial agreement be enforced. Additionally, she seeks equitable division of marital debts and a court-determined child support amount.

Moving Forward
Burruss announced the split after 11 years of marriage, expressing her focus on peace, motherhood, and co-parenting with respect. She thanked supporters and requested privacy during this transition.
In an interview, Burruss mentioned the separation had been developing for some time.
