Meghan Markle’s recent Instagram reel not only showcased Princess Lilibet’s notable bright red curls but also highlighted a fashion moment shared between the Duchess of Sussex and her son, Prince Archie.
The video, filmed at a pumpkin patch, features 6-year-old Archie navigating a corn maze while wearing a tan quilted jacket layered over a black polo shirt and jeans. His outfit closely resembled that of Meghan, who sported a brown Anine Bing jacket, black jeans, and black Co riding boots, according to What Meghan Wore.
In a touching moment, Meghan is seen gently placing her hand on Archie’s head as they move through the maze, a subtle yet clear display of affection.
The reel also features 4-year-old Lilibet, who is dressed in a baby-pink ribbed top and matching sweatpants, sitting in a wagon surrounded by pumpkins of varying sizes. Later, back at their home in Montecito, Archie assists with pumpkin carving in the family’s backyard, joined by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, as they enjoy the fall festivities together.
Since rejoining Instagram earlier this year, Meghan has been providing more insights into her life with Archie and Lilibet, openly discussing her parenting approach. During an event on October 23 at Godmothers, a bookstore in Summerland, California, she revealed her daily practice of asking her children to share a “rose and thorn” from their day.
“Especially with young children, it’s a great opener for when you reach that stage where your kids just give you a yes or no answer,” Meghan explained during the bookstore’s livestream on Substack. She described Lilibet as having a strong personality, noting, “Our daughter—she’s 4, and she’s incredible. Now she’s in this moment where I say, ‘What’s your rose and your thorn?’ And she responds, ‘My day was just a blast.’”
Meghan also shared with attendees that she begins each day by filling her home with music. To maintain a sense of home while traveling, she always carries a portable speaker and a candle. “I am very conscious and sensitive to fragrance, and I associate that with home,” she remarked.
During the TIME100 Summit in April, Meghan disclosed that Archie was approaching a significant milestone, having lost his first tooth. She later recounted the experience of playing the tooth fairy in an interview with Fast Company, where she revealed that she left money and a small dinosaur under his pillow, which he discovered at 2 a.m.
“I had numerous business meetings the next morning, but I still chose to cuddle with him for the rest of the night,” Meghan said. “Those moments as a mother energize me to be a better founder, a better employer, a better boss.”
