Meredith Marks Responds to Whitney Rose’s Allegations
Meredith Marks has publicly addressed Whitney Rose following claims made during the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, where Whitney suggested that Meredith might be dealing with substance abuse issues.
Context of the Discussion
During the episode, Bronwyn Newport, 40, defended her choice to share Whitney’s comments with Meredith, 53, while Heather Gay, 51, also offered her perspective. In response, Meredith accused Whitney of projecting her own issues onto others, to which Whitney reacted by criticizing Bronwyn for misrepresenting her words.
Meredith’s Reaction
In a November 25 interview with Bravo HQ, Meredith remarked, “Whitney Rose strikes again. It’s nothing new. She’s done this every single year. And usually it’s a projection of her own issues. So, it’s just kind of a funny comment and pretty dumb, but what do you expect from Whitney?”
Whitney’s Defense
Whitney contended that her remarks about Meredith were made “in confidence” and expressed displeasure with Bronwyn for discussing them publicly. She clarified, “I didn’t say, ‘I think Meredith has a substance issue.’ I said, ‘Meredith’s behavior was so erratic and crazy.’ And Bronwyn asked me what I thought caused it.” Whitney suggested that Meredith might have mixed medications, a common occurrence among travelers.
Bronwyn’s Justification
In defense of her actions, Bronwyn stated, “I wouldn’t wanna have been blindsided by someone saying that about me behind my back. I feel like that’s a life-changing accusation.” She believed that informing Meredith was the right course of action, despite feeling it might have been perceived as sneaky.
Heather’s Commentary
Heather also weighed in, criticizing Bronwyn for not taking responsibility for her part in the situation. “Bronwyn’s the one that said it too, and brought it up, so the fact that she’s passing the baton to Whitney is interesting,” she noted. Heather added that discussing substance abuse during a social gathering was inappropriate.
