Controversy Surrounds Reunion Photo Shoot for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”

On Monday, the Instagram account for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives unveiled images of the cast’s outfits for the upcoming reunion episode set for December 4. The cast is seen in elegant floor-length gowns, while host Stassi Schroeder chose a red midi dress. Check out the photos:
Fan Reactions to Photo Quality
Fans were quick to criticize Hulu for the photos, citing poor lighting and angles. Many took to the comments to express their disappointment:
“Whose taking these photos you have a group of gorgeous women and you did them all dirty with the lighting and angles”

Jessi Ngatikaura revealed more about the photo shoot challenges, including not being able to choose her dress. On social media, she explained:
“They released our reunion looks and obviously I was horrified by the photos like we are every year. First of all, I commented this, but they make us take the photos at the end of the day when we’re all so done. And when you watch the reunion, specifically this one, you’re gonna know why I feel the way I do. But I’m like that was so explosive and then you make us take these photos where we’re all like ‘Get us out of here.’”
Jessi hopes to persuade Hulu to schedule future photo shoots at the start of the day. Regarding her outfit, she shared:
“Twelve hours before the reunion, I get a call from production and they were like, ‘You need to change your dress.’”
She explained that production asked her to change her dress due to similarities with Stassi’s choice. Jessi sent additional options, and the producers chose a white sparkling dress, which she was not fond of:
“They ended up choosing the white and glitter dress, which I wouldn’t have chose. I was really sad about it but the show must go on and I’m a team player, so that’s what I ended up wearing. It ended up being OK, my hair and makeup were great and I loved my jewelry, it worked.”
Support and Future Plans
Despite the challenges, Jessi received support from Stassi Schroeder, who commented:
“No I’m so haunted by this situation. I flew from London and had two days and was told ‘make it Christmas’. You’re a goddamn queen and I love you so much!!!!!! Break that dress out for the next reunion!!!”
