In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in January, Allen shared, “From the start, the creative team mentioned we haven’t seen Tim Allen in a sitcom with a romantic interest. I said, ‘I’ve just lost my wife, so I don’t see it.’ I love where we are now. If it happens naturally between two people who don’t initially get along, that’s fine. I want it to be organic and proper.”
