Prince and Princess of Wales Reveal 2025 Christmas Card Photo
The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a new family photo for their 2025 Christmas card. The image, shared on Kensington Palace’s social media, shows Prince William and Kate with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, seated among spring daffodils.
In the photo, Charlotte leans against her father, Louis sits relaxed between William’s legs, and Kate embraces George. The card includes the message: “Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas.”
Photographer Josh Shinner captured the image in Norfolk in April.
The boys are wearing the same outfits from previous portraits released in April and July, suggesting the photo is from the same session.
It is a tradition for the Royal Family to feature a personal photo on their Christmas cards. This latest image continues a series of family photos shared by William and Kate over the years, reports the Mirror.
Last year’s card featured the Wales family embracing, taken from a video shared by Kate in September, marking her return to public life after chemotherapy treatment.
In 2023, their Christmas card showed the family in formal attire, contrasting with the 2022 casual image taken in Norfolk.
The 2021 card showed the family on holiday in Jordan, a place significant to Kate from her childhood.
The 2020 card displayed the family at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk residence.
This year’s card release coincides with the Wales family attending the Royal Family’s pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace, a tradition they missed last year due to Kate’s recovery.
William and Kate were seen arriving with their children, George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, for the event, which gathers around 70 family members.
Not all family members attend the Christmas celebrations at Sandringham, making this gathering important for reconnecting.
Last year, the Wales family celebrated Christmas at Anmer Hall, as Kate was recovering from cancer treatment.
This year, they were seen leaving the palace, with Kate in a festive red dress and Charlotte matching in a burgundy outfit.
Earlier, Kate launched the Christmas season with her annual carol concert, where her children participated by placing their names on a symbolic tree.
George, Charlotte, and Louis attended the “Together at Christmas” service at Westminster Abbey, enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Upon arrival, they added their names to a “Connection Tree,” symbolizing unity.
Kate arrived separately to meet performers, including Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor. She mentioned her children’s excitement for the service, saying, “It’s become such a tradition.”
In related news, the King and Queen chose their 20th wedding anniversary portrait for their Christmas card. The photo, taken at Villa Wolkonsky in Rome, features Charles and Camilla together.
The card includes a message: “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”
The Royal couple celebrated their anniversary on April 9, 2025, during a state visit to Italy, with a banquet in their honor.
